Tips for inner and outer sales representatives

If your customer orders a bearing with a “K” code

Remember to offer him a BGL bearing sleeve. It’s likely to be used in the equipment assembling.

Example: Bearing 22217 EK/C3 – If the shaft is measured in millimeters the adapter sleeve will be H 317. If it’s measured in inches it may be HE, HA or HS.

If he orders the sleeve, offer him the Hook spanner HN 17 or Hydraulic nut HMV 17E tools.

The HMV...E Hydraulic Nut is produced by BGL, it is an important tool which helps assembling and disassembling bearings in adapter sleeves or shafts.

It makes the work easier, allowing assembly without impacts what provides the assembled set a longer useful life. It uses a Manual Hydraulic Pump to execute the heavy duty which makes the assembly maintenance (bearings and sleeves) or assembling time (cost) significantly shorter.

It is produced with SAE 1045 steel and it is composed by a thread body (with housing for a comparative counter), + piston, + screw plug and washer, + straight pin spanner, + hydraulic repair(oring) set and spare set. Everything followed by a Users Instruction Manual.

When you order BGL a tool like the HMVE hydraulic nut, you receive the full set in one individual pack.

Quick information about how to use the catalog:

1-When used in Adapter Sleeves you just follow the Sleeve coded.

Ex.: For H 315 Sleeves use the HMV 15E Hydraulic Nut . For the HE 322 use the HMV 22E, for HA 3144 use the HMV 44E, for the H 3060 use the HMV 60E, and so on.

2- When used in Withdrawal Sleeves, it is important to know if the Hydraulic Nut will be used to assemble or disassemble the set, then you just check the BGL Catalog according to its application.

There were changes to make oral communication, the internet communication and the parts engraving/identifying easier;

The three letters are to compare BGL to traditional trademarks like (SKF, FAG, NSK, etc);

Inform your marketing staff in case you need to use the BGL logo in any publication, folder, site, etc so that they use the new BGL logo. If you need the CDR or JPG files contact us;

In your quotation requests or orders, if possible, change the BGL name in your system;

Inform your customers sending them this email, because they will receive parts engraved B&G until our stock is finished and also as BGL;
